New 1.2T High-Field Open MRI available at the Brick location

AMI offers a Truly Open 1.2T High-Field MRI at the Brick office

Atlantic Medical Imaging recently installed a new high-field open MRI, the Hitachi Oasis, in their Brick, New Jersey location. The Oasis system offers a new open MRI alternative, with high-field strength performance, for patients who have had challenges tolerating exams in the traditional closed-type MRI units.

Open MRI has historically been an option for large patients and patients with claustrophobia who have challenges tolerating the confinement of traditional bore-type MRI, but open MRI technology has not previously delivered high resolution image quality comparable to conventional high-field strength MRI systems. The Oasis system combines wide-open magnet design and 1.2 Tesla high field-strength technologies, so patients can have a comfortable experience and referring physicians get the high quality images they prefer for a confident diagnosis.

The 1.2T Hitachi Oasis Open MRI enables AMI to image claustrophobic patients and patients up to 660 lbs with image quality comparable to the 1.5 T units. The scanner also possesses the newest pulse sequences for advanced musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging, as well as RADAR to reduce motion artifact. The Oasis is further enhanced by an array of anatomically specific receiver coils that allow advanced imaging applications ranging from vascular to orthopedic imaging.

The Oasis is the most recent addition to the AMI MRI armamentarium. Providing the latest imaging technologies along with sub-specialty reads by our musculoskeletal radiologists and neuroradiologists, AMI remains in the forefront of MRI imaging.
