Low Dose CT

In 2010, AMI introduced the latest advancement in CT technology, ASiR™, available at our Galloway, Cape May Court House and Wall offices. Our revolutionary ASiR™ technology reduces your exposure to radiation by up to 50%, unlike any other existing CT scanner. This state-of-the-art ASiR™ technology provides unprecedented image quality, giving your doctor sharper detail for a more confident diagnosis, leaving you with peace of mind.

AMI is well aware of the challenges patients face in seeking preauthorization for a coronary CTA procedure and we are all well aware of the current economic conditions of our region.  For these reasons, we are instituting the William Reilly coronary CTA program through the AMI Foundation.  The program provides free or low cost coronary CTA exams to patients at risk for heart disease based on eligibility.
For more information, please call 609-653-6708.

When choosing a center for cardiac imaging, you should consider the team of cardiac imaging specialists that will be performing and interpreting your exam as well as the equipment being used. The best equipment and the best interpretation can lead to the best outcomes.

All radiologists that perform and interpret coronary CTA exams are required to obtain certification in this area of specialty.  The coronary CTA program at AMI is led by Dr. David Dowe, one of the pioneers of coronary CTA.  Dr. Dowe has trained thousands of radiologists across the country and was named one of the Top 10 Cardiac Imagers in the nation.

AMI has become a world leader in coronary CTA. Dr. David Dowe, Medical Director of AMI’s Galloway facility and Director of the coronary CTA program, continues to work with GE Healthcare on the technique to acquire the coronary CTA images as well as developing the workstation skills critical to the accurate detection of coronary artery disease. Dr. Dowe has lectured as far away as China and trains radiologists from across the world on coronary CT Angiography. Atlantic Medical Imaging is the International General Electric Training Center for coronary CTA.

Other cardiac imaging services available at AMI include:

  • Cardiac MRI

  • Vascular CTA/MRA
