What We Are Doing to Keep You Safe & Healthy (COVID-19)

As you are aware, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is having an increased impact on our community and we feel it is important to share the steps we are taking to keep you and our staff safe and healthy.

The following precautions will be followed in all AMI offices, effective immediately:

  • If you have a scheduled appointment and are experiencing a fever, new cough or any flu-like symptoms, please call 609-568-9182 for further evaluation prior to your appointment.
  • If you have no symptoms but have had close contact with someone suspected or known to have Coronavirus over the past 14 days or traveled to Europe, Iran, South Korea, Japan or China over the past 14 days, please contact your healthcare provider prior to scheduling your appointment.
  • We are requesting that patients limit the number of visitors that accompany them to our office to one (1) visitor.

We will continue to follow our established infection control policies and procedures which include:

  • Masks will be given to patients and visitors who are coughing in the waiting room.
  • Staff members in close patient contact will use personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, sanitizers, etc.
  • Exam rooms will be disinfected after each patient exam by wiping down equipment and stretchers with medical-grade disinfectant.
  • Waiting room areas will be disinfected with medical-grade disinfectant throughout the day.
  • Continuous hand hygiene will be practiced by all staff members.

We continue to closely follow the guidelines and recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the state government. We are updating our plans daily, proactively communicating with our team, and doing all that we can to prevent further spread of the virus.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely as it develops and keep you informed of any changes within our offices. As always, the health, well-being, and safety of our community and our staff will be our top priority.

Take Precautions to Protect Yourself from COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/summary.html) recommends these everyday actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases such as COVID-19 or the flu:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Stay home when you’re sick
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty
